KAYLI EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBER ATTENDS THE OFFICIAL CELEBRATIONS

Kayli executive committee member Mr. Ibrahim Hameed is attending the Independence day celebration in Huarafushi. He is one of the two official delegates attending them from Kanditheem. The other official delegate is the Councilor and the Kayli founder Mr. Ahmed Athif.

Ibrahim Hameed is there on behalf of Kayli and Ahmed Athif as being the councilor.

HA. Huarafushi is the official designated island to celebrate the Independence Day activities.

KAYLI AND KANDITHEEM POLICE STATION REACH AGREEMENT

Kayli and Kanditheem police have signed an agreement in a meeting held last night at Kanditheem Police station. The agreement was made to ensure the proper handling of the Football Competition to be held in the Ramazan.

According to the agreement, Kanditheem Police station would provide financial and administrative share, while Kayli would be responsible for the practical side (event management and preparation) of the competition.

In a meeting held last month between youths and above parties, youths decided to have the competition in a "futsal style" way.

HUNDRED AND TWENTY SEVEN APPLIED FOR QURAN COMPETITION


One hundred and twenty seven children have applied for the Quran competition which is to be held in the Holy month of Ramazan.

According to the President Mr. Ali Rifaz, the Association is preparing to meet the parents of the applicants and, if parents give any suggestions about the competition to be held, he would refer those suggestions to the executive committee.

The aim of the association is to held a better competition than its last year's competition.

Last Ramazan, some 91 children took part in it.

KAYLI AND TVET SIGNS THE AGREEMENT


Kayli and TVET has signed the agreement to have an agricultural(hydrophinics)training programme later this year.

A Kayli executive committee member, Mr. Ahmed Aagil and Ibrahim Shareef signed the agreement on behalf of the Kayli and two officials from Ministry of Human Resources, Youth and Sports signed the agreement on behalf of TVET.

KAYLI REP, AHMED FAHUMY RETURNS MALE’



Kayli representative, Mr. Ahmed Fahumy of Hulhanguge (Sh. Kanditheem) returned Male' yesterday after participating in a UNFPA programme held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

He took part in a week long programme aimed towards tackling Aids. This programme was also participated by youth representatives from other NGOs in the region.

Kayli has succeeded with Hydrophonics proposal

Kayli has been listed in the TVET's successful proposals list in CAT III(Communitty applied training level 3). The signing of the agreement between Kayli and Ministry of Human resources, Youth and Sports is due to be taken place on the 20th of this month.

As per the proposal, some 50 placements would be available in the training and is schedule to be in the month of December.

QURAN COMPETITION APPLICATION PERIOD OVER TODAY

The application period for the second Kayli Quran competition is over today at 1500 hours. The competition is due to be held in the holy month of Ramazan.

Children under 13 years of age can take part in their respective age groups. The age groups are divided as under 6, between 6 and 9, between 9 and 11, and between 11 and 13.

Last year's competition was a huge success for an opening competition and which was participated by 91 children.

KAYLI REPRESENTS IN INDONESIA

Ahmed Fahumy(19) of Hulhanguge, sh.kanditheem is in Indonesia to attend a UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund)programme. He is attending the programme as a KAYLI Representative and is among the five youths from Maldives taking part in the programme.

He was among the five KAYLI representatives who attended the provincial level of the same programme held earlier in the Upper North, in its capital Kulhudhuhfushi. He is reportedly the second highest ranked representative from the whole Province, which is also well attended by the other NGOs in the Province.

These programmes are a part of ongoing campaign of UNFPA about tackling Aids, and its targeted towards the younger population.

He is expected to return on 18th this month.
